Key Takeaways

  • The “One-Way” Grid. Almost all streets in BGC are one-way. If you miss your bus stop, you cannot just cross the street and go back; the bus has to finish its entire loop (approx. 20–30 mins).
  • The “Bus Route” Logic. BGC is split into North, East, and West routes. You must check the color-coded sign on the bus windshield at One Ayala before boarding.
  • The BGC Greenway. This is the “hidden” 1.6km linear park that runs along the western edge (near the golf course). It is the fastest, quietest way to walk from McKinley Road to Net One/Uptown without crossing dozens of intersections.
  • Walking is often faster than waiting. BGC is roughly 240 hectares. East to west takes about 15 minutes on foot along wide, well-maintained sidewalks. During peak hours, waiting for the BGC Bus at a mid-route stop can exceed 20 minutes. If your destination is under 1 km, walk
  • No jeepneys. No tricycles. No cash on BGC Bus. BGC Bus is the only public transport allowed to operate inside BGC. Jeepneys and tricycles are prohibited within the district. All BGC Bus routes are fully cashless — beep card or GCash only. A one-time paper QR ticket (₱15) is available at the two main terminals only, not at mid-route stops.

Bonifacio Global City (BGC) – The Micro-Grid

Primary Anchors: Market! Market! (East) and One Ayala/EDSA-Ayala (West).

The Two main Entry Terminals

  • Main Terminal–West Entry: EDSA Ayala Terminal
    • Ground floor of McKinley Exchange Corporate Center (building with Telus), corner EDSA and McKinley Rd, Makati,Shell gas station and MRT 3 Ayala Station northbound exit are your landmarks.
    • Most routes originate here
    • MRT Ayala → 5-min walk
  • Secondary terminal–East entry: Market! Market! Terminal
    • At the back of the Market! Market! mall, facing C-5 Road. Ticket booth is on your rigth when facing C-5.
    • Uncle John’s convenience store across the road is your landmark.
    • Two routes depart here back to EDSA Ayala, or to Arca South – check signboards carefully.
    • C-5 side, Market! Market!

“The Market! Market! Shortcut”

  • If the BGC Bus lines at One Ayala are too long (which they often are at 6:00 PM), take a “Market! Market!” labeled jeepney from the terminal near Shell McKinley (across from Forbes Park). It’s cheaper, usually faster in traffic, and drops you at the main hub where you can walk to the rest of BGC.
  • The Path: Market! Market! ➡️ Bonifacio High Street ➡️ Central Square ➡️ Mind Museum. Operational Note: This is the “Social Spine” of BGC. It is a series of parks and open-air malls.
  • Navigation Hint: If you get lost, find 5th Avenue. It is the main north-south artery that cuts BGC in half.

Getting Into BGC from Outside

  • From Makati / MRT Ayala
    • Walk from MRT-3 Ayala Station northbound exit (right side) 5 minutes to EDSA Ayala Terminal. Board any BGC Bus route. Most reliable entry point
  • From Quezon City / Cubao / North Manila
    • EDSA Carousel southbound to Ayala stop. Walk or cross EDSA to McKinley Exchange EDSA Ayala Terminal. Or: MRT-3 to Ayala Station, then walk to terminal
  • From Malate / Ermita / LRT-1
    • LRT-1 southbound to EDSA Station. Transfer to MRT-3 at Taft-EDSA interchange. MRT-3 northbound one stop to Ayala. Walk to EDSA Ayala Terminal
  • From MOA / Bay Area
    • LRT-1 from Redemptorist–Aseana northbound to EDSA Station. Transfer to MRT-3. North one stop to Ayala. Walk to terminal. Total approx 35–45 min off-peak
  • From Taguig / C-5 / Arca South
    • Arca South Express Bus to Market! Market! (limited AM/PM trips only). Or jeepney to C-5 then walk to Market! Market! terminal. Check Arca South Express schedule before relying on it

Getting Out of BGC

  • The EDSA Ayala Terminal is your main exit point toward Makati, EDSA, and MRT-3. Board any route headed to EDSA Ayala — East, West, East Express.
  • Market! Market! terminal is your exit toward C-5, Taguig, Arca South, and provincial destinations (Cavite, Laguna via vans at Market! Market! van terminal).
  • Last BGC Bus to EDSA Ayala on weekdays via East/West routes is around 10PM–11PM depending on route. Night Route runs until 6AM. Do not cut it close — confirm last trip at the terminal.
  • After large concerts or events at BGC (Ayala Triangle, High Street events), all exits surge simultaneously. Grab/Angkas prices spike hard. If you can wait 30–45 minutes after an event ends, BGC Bus queues clear significantly and ride-hailing prices normalize
  • To Makati (MRT/Ayala):
Head to any BGC Bus stop. Note: At night, the only active stops are usually Net One and HSBC.
Buses return to the One Ayala Terminal.
  • To the South (Alabang/Cavite):
Take a jeepney from Market! Market! to Tenement/FTI, then transfer to a bus. Or take the BGC Bus to One Ayala for the P2P.
  • To the North (QC/Trinoma):
Go to Market! Market! and find the Metrolink (Yellow Bus). It goes directly to SM North/Trinoma via C5, bypassing EDSA traffic.

What to Know Before You Go

  • BGC Bus fare is ₱15 flat for all routes except Arca South Express (₱25). Payment is beep card or GCash only. At mid-route stops, no ticket booth is available — if you have no beep card, drivers will not allow you to board. Load up before you enter BGC.
  • A one-time paper QR ticket (₱15) is sold only at EDSA Ayala Terminal and Market! Market! Terminal — not at any other stop. If you do not have a beep card and are not starting your trip from one of these two terminals, you cannot board mid-route.
  • The BGC App (iOS and Android) shows real-time estimated arrival times for BGC Bus routes and nearby bus stops. Download it before traveling if you work in BGC regularly.
  • McKinley Hill and McKinley West are not technically inside BGC — they are Megaworld developments adjacent to it. Megaworld operates private shuttles from these areas on weekdays (approx 7AM–7PM). If you work there, ask your building admin whether a shuttle goes to MRT or EDSA.
  • The North Route no longer stops at BGC Arts Center as of 2025. If you are heading to BGC Arts Center area, board the North Route and alight at the nearest stop — confirm with the driver.
  • BGC Bus schedules and routes change without broad public notice. Always follow the official BGC Facebook page (@bonifacioglobalcityph) for the most current updates before a trip.

Local Mode Logic –The “Last Mile”

  • Moovr E-Scooters/Bikes: Scattered at “Moovr Hubs” on almost every corner. Use the app to unlock. Essential for getting from High Street to Uptown quickly.

BGC Bus: Cash is not accepted. You must use a Beep Card or a Maya QR code to tap-in.
