By using MappedAtlas, you agree to these terms. If you’re just browsing, welcome! If you’re using our navigation tools, you’re agreeing to play by these rules.
2. The “Human Intelligence” Disclaimer
You acknowledge that MappedAtlas provides information based on manual reports, community observations, and historical behaviors.
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: Transit schedules change, and humans make mistakes. We provide a “best-guess” of the commute vibe, not a legal guarantee of arrival times.
- Use Your Senses: Always follow local traffic laws, transit authority signs, and your own intuition. If our map says a shortcut is open but you see a “No Trespassing” sign, follow the sign!
3. User-Generated Reports
When you submit a report (via Google Forms or otherwise):
- Honesty Policy: You agree to provide truthful information. Don’t report a “zombie apocalypse” at the train station if it’s just a bit crowded.
- License to Use: You give us the right to use your anonymous report to update our maps and help other users.
4. Self-Guided Tours
- Health & Safety: You are responsible for your own physical safety during tours. Check the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
- Access: We don’t own the landmarks. If a museum is closed or a street is blocked during your “Self-Guided Tour,” we are not responsible for the closure.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MappedAtlas is not liable for:
- Lost wages due to late commutes.
- Battery drainage on your device.
- Any “adventure” that goes slightly off-script.
- Any events occurred or lost during your commutes.
6. Privacy & Data
We use Google Forms for reporting. While we don’t sell your “identity,” we do use the data about the commute to improve the site. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your info.
