MRT LRT: The 2026 Rail Master Schedule
Master Rail Map page is the ultimate service for a Metro Manila commuter. By 2026, the rail network has expanded significantly with the
LRT-1 Cavite Extension and the partial operations of
MRT-7.
| Line | Route (Terminals) | First Train | Last Train | Peak Frequency |
| LRT-1 | Dr. Santos (Parañaque) ↔ FPJ (QC) | 4:30 AM | 10:30 PM | 3-4 mins |
| LRT-2 | Antipolo ↔ Straight (Manila) | 5:00 AM | 9:30 PM | 7-10 mins |
| MRT-3 | North Ave (QC) ↔ Taft Ave (Pasay) | 4:30 AM | 10:30 PM | 4-5 mins |
| MRT-7 | North Ave ↔ Quirino Highway (QC)* | 5:30 AM | 9:00 PM | 10 mins |
⚠️ Operator’s Note (2026): MRT-7 is currently in “Partial Operations” from the North Avenue Common Station up to the Sacred Heart/Quirino area. Full service to Bulacan is expected by late 2026.
Updated Fare Matrix (Post-2025 Adjustment)
In April 2025, a unified fare adjustment was implemented across the lines.
| Ticket Type | Minimum Fare (0-5km) | Maximum Fare (Full Line) |
| Single Journey (SJT) | ₱20.00 | ₱55.00 – ₱70.00 |
| Stored Value (Beep™) | ₱16.00 | ₱52.00 – ₱65.00 |
Beep card users save roughly
₱4 to ₱5 per trip and skip the long “Single Journey” queues.
Tactical “Inter-Change” Map (The Connections)
- The Common Station (North Ave): The “Mega-Hub” connecting MRT-3, MRT-7, and LRT-1.
- Araneta Center-Cubao: The bridge connecting MRT-3 and LRT-2. (Allow 10 mins for the walk through Gateway Mall).
- Doroteo Jose / Recto: The bridge connecting LRT-1 and LRT-2.
- EDSA-Taft: The connection between MRT-3 and LRT-1.
The “First-Last” Rule (Survival Intel)
Commuter Logic: The “Last Train” time is when the train leaves the end terminal. If you are at a middle station (like Ayala), the last train usually arrives 20-30 minutes after the terminal departure. Don’t cut it too close!
MRT & LRT: The Three Rail Axes Guide(2026)

Fare Matrix (Updated April 2025)
LRT-1 implemented a fare adjustment earlier this year. Prices vary between Stored Value Cards (Beep) and Single Journey Tickets (SJT).
- Minimum Fare: ₱20.00 (Single Journey) / ₱16.00 (Beep)
- End-to-End (FPJ to Dr. Santos): ₱55.00 (Single Journey) / ₱52.00 (Beep)
- Fare Structure: ₱16.25 boarding fee + ₱1.47 per kilometer.
Operating Hours
- Weekdays: 4:30 AM – 10:30 PM (from Dr. Santos) / 10:45 PM (from FPJ)
- Weekends/Holidays: 5:00 AM – 9:30 PM (from Dr. Santos) / 9:45 PM (from FPJ)
- Peak Hours: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Expect long queues at Central Terminal, EDSA, and Gil Puyat.
Important Last-Mile Connections
- PITX Station: This is now the most critical transfer point for those heading further south to Cavite (Bacoor, Imus, Dasmariñas) or Batangas. The station connects directly to the massive PITX terminal building.
- Gil Puyat Station: The “Bus Central” for South Luzon. Buses to Laguna (Sta. Rosa/Calamba) and Batangas (Lipa/Lemery) are located just steps from the station.
- Doroteo Jose / Recto: Use the covered walkway to transfer to LRT-2 if you are heading east towards University Belt (FEU, UE), Cubao, or Antipolo.
- Airport Access: While MIA Road is the closest station to the airport, it is not “inside” the terminal. You will need to take a dedicated shuttle or a short taxi/Grab ride to reach NAIA Terminals 1 and 2. For Terminal 3, the EDSA Station to a Newport Jeep/Bus is often better.
Pro Tips for LRT-1
- Old vs. New Trains: You will see a mix of generations. The newest “4th Generation” trains (with red/blue accents) have better air conditioning and wider windows.
- Northbound Strategy: If you are boarding at EDSA heading North during rush hour, it is often faster to take a Southbound train to Baclaran or Dr. Santos first to “reserve” a seat for the return trip.
- Safety: LRT-1 passes through some of the busiest (and occasionally “gritty”) parts of Manila. Keep your bags in front of you, especially at Carriedo, Doroteo Jose, and Baclaran stations.
The LRT-2 spans 17.6 kilometers and connects the East (Rizal/Marikina) to the West (Manila).
| # | Station Name | Key Destinations & Landmarks |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Recto | LRT-1 Transfer (D. Jose), Isetann, Quiapo, Binondo, Divisoria |
| 2 | Legarda | San Beda, CEU, Mendiola, San Sebastian Church |
| 3 | Pureza | PUP Main, PNR Sta. Mesa Transfer, LTO-Manila |
| 4 | V. Mapa | SM Sta. Mesa, UERM Medical Center |
| 5 | J. Ruiz | San Juan City Hall, Pinaglabanan Shrine |
| 6 | Gilmore | Gilmore IT Center (Laptops/PC parts), St. Paul QC, Mt. Carmel |
| 7 | Betty Go-Belmonte | Holy Buddhist Temple, residential areas of New Manila |

| 12 | Marikina-Pasig | Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, Robinsons Metro East |
| 13 | Antipolo | SM Masinag, Lower Antipolo (East Terminus) |
Fare Matrix
The LRT-2 uses the same Beep Card system as the other lines. Prices were adjusted in late 2023/2024 and remain stable in 2025.
- Minimum Fare: ₱14.00 (Beep) / ₱15.00 (Single Journey)
- Maximum Fare (End-to-End): ₱33.00 (Beep) / ₱35.00 (Single Journey)
- End-to-End Travel Time: Approx. 30–35 minutes from Recto to Antipolo.
Operating Hours
The LRT-2 typically opens a bit later and closes earlier than the other lines.
- Opening Time: 5:00 AM (Both ends)
- Last Train (Antipolo to Recto): 9:00 PM (Weekends) / 9:30 PM (Weekdays)
- Last Train (Recto to Antipolo): 9:30 PM (Weekends) / 10:00 PM (Weekdays)
Note: During the December 2025 holiday rush, hours are often extended to 10:00 PM (Antipolo) and 10:30 PM (Recto) until December 30.
Vital Inter-Line Transfers
- LRT-2 to LRT-1: At Recto Station, use the long elevated walkway (crossroad bridge) to reach Doroteo Jose Station. It is fully covered and relatively safe.
- LRT-2 to MRT-3: At Araneta-Cubao, you must exit the turnstiles and walk through Gateway Mall and Farmers Plaza.
- Inside Mall Hours: Use the air-conditioned malls. Follow signs for “MRT.”
- Outside Mall Hours: You must walk along the street-level sidewalks of Aurora Blvd and EDSA.
- LRT-2 to PNR: At Pureza Station, you can take a short tricycle or walk to the PNR Sta. Mesa Station for trains heading to Alabang or Laguna.
Pro Tips for LRT-2
- The Underground Station: Katipunan is the only underground station in the entire system. It can get very humid on the platform, so stay hydrated.
- University Jeeps: If going to UP Diliman, alight at Katipunan, walk under the flyover to the “UP-Katipunan” jeepney terminal.
- Less Crowded: Compared to MRT-3 and LRT-1, the LRT-2 is generally less “packed,” making it a much more comfortable ride during off-peak hours.
- Elevation: The Marikina-Pasig and Antipolo stations are very high. The view of the Marikina Valley during sunset is one of the best “free” sights in the city.
The MRT-3 spans 16.9 kilometers with 13 stations connecting Quezon City to Pasay City.

Essential Commuter Tips
- First Car is Priority: The very first coach of every train is reserved for Seniors, PWDs, Pregnant Women, and passengers with children. The second coach is often reserved for Women.
- Transferring Lines: * To LRT-2: Alight at Araneta-Cubao and walk through Gateway Mall/Farmers.
- To LRT-1: Alight at Taft Avenue and use the connecting footbridge to EDSA Station.
- Security: Prepare for a quick bag check at the entrance. Liquid containers (water bottles) are now allowed but may be subject to a “sip test” or screening.
- No Eating/Drinking: Consuming food or drinks is strictly prohibited inside the trains and platforms.

- MRT-3 ↔ LRT-2: Connect via Araneta Center-Cubao (requires walking through Gateway/Farmers malls).
- LRT-1 ↔ LRT-2: Connect via Doroteo Jose (LRT-1) and Recto (LRT-2) using the elevated walkway.
Travel Tips for Today
- Beep Card Reloading: Many kiosks may have long lines or be offline today; try reloading via GCash or the Beep app before arriving at the station.
- Safety: Holiday crowds are heavy. Keep your bags in front of you and be mindful of your belongings in crowded areas like Divisoria (via Recto) or SM North (via North Ave).
- Alternative: If you miss the last train tonight, the EDSA Carousel Bus runs 24/7 along the MRT-3 route.
